A spectacular limestone outcrop, covered in lush vegetation, rising from the Sele Valley a short distance from the Sanctuary of San Gerardo Maiella in Materdomini.
San Vito, in the Caposele area, is the largest sport climbing crag in Campania, nearly 30 meters high and approximately 700 meters above sea level. Climbing enthusiasts can choose from 37 bolted routes, ranging from 4 to 8 difficulty levels, suitable for both beginners and experts.

Climbing is done from the base of the wall, taking advantage of the different routes, including those adapted to the seasons: "Grande Inverno," for example, faces southeast and is ideal for warmer seasons, while "La lancia del Sole" is good year-round. There are also two educational routes in the area known as "El Capitòn."
Atop the monolith, a small church has stood since the 17th century, reached by a steep staircase carved into the living rock. It is dedicated to Saint Vitus, who on June 15, 303, under Emperor Diocletian, after being subjected to unspeakable torture, went to die with two other martyrs, Modestus and Crescentia, on the banks of the Sele, the river that flows through the valley named after him, of which the small temple offers a breathtaking view. In the 18th century, it belonged to Prince Iñigo Rota, who had his coat of arms displayed upside down when he was forced to leave his family's fiefdom.
The large green area surrounding the monolith features a drinking fountain and a picnic area. Another advantage is the easy accessibility and the possibility of parking just a short distance from the sports area.
